Once I finally made contact with Cracked I had a pretty decent run with them. I was published in the next issue of Cracked, Jan '98, with a follow up of my Upside/Downside series (which I had tried to foist upon Mad previously). Technically, it was my one and only recurring series. Which the book "If You're Cracked You're Happy" totally ignored. I did, because of various circumstances, get several "running gags" in over a series of issues based on page count.
We got paid by the magazine page count, so getting these nice 2-page spreads was very helpful.
