The idea of wrapping kids in bubble wrap was something I would use again, working on an industrial PSA for safety. I submitted a sample and got the gig, but then I had issues with the "notes" they were issuing and how they wanted to keep repeating the bubble wrap gag, despite me giving them several different variations.
Bubble Boy Wrap
MAN: Honey? Where are the kids?
WIFE: I locked them in the bedroom, dear.
MAN: Did they misbehave?
WIFE: No, I just don't want them to get sick.
MAN: What?
WIFE: There's so many germs out there, and we can't get the flu shot, I've decided to keep the kids out of school and away from all human contact.
ANNOUNCER: Yes, no one likes to get sick and we all dislike germs...nasty, disgusting, disease causing germs...but you can't just lock away your kids.
WIFE: I can't?
ANNOUNCER: No. And there's no need to any longer, thanks to Bubble Boy Wrap by WrapCo.
WIFE: What's Bubble Boy Wrap?
ANNOUNCER: It's the latest in polyethylene plastic technology. When cold and flu season comes, or you child has a play-date with a particularly disease-ridden family, you simply slip your kid into the plastic wrapping and seal it shut. And he or she is ready to go!
WIFE: And he's hermatically sealed off from the environment?
ANNOUNCER: You bet. No more exposure to germs and germ-carriers. Your child's safe in his own little bio-sphere.
WIFE: It's the solution I've been waiting for!
ANNOUNCER: It's also useful against allergens, lice and certain fungi. Bubble Boy Wrap, the only thing that stands between your child and germs. Wrapco is a subsidiary of Hughes Tools Incorporated.
