
Meanwhile, I completed and sent them the 75 pages I had. I thought the story was more heavily plotted but not “as funny.” I didn’t trust my judgement at this point. I scribbled that I was hoping the script reverts back to the Nick Flebber version.
Just a few days later and I had finished the draft of “Kringle.” I dropped the final 1/3 in the mail. Now it was out of my hands…

Now what was I to do? Work on “Like Magic?” I had an idea for a play I called “Space Rocks” and I seemed to think that would be a viable project to continue. Or maybe my book, “The Write Stuff;” pull that out and work on it.
As we entered the month of May, Kevin left a message on my answering machine, simply telling me he received that last batch of pages. By the time I bothered noting Kevin’s call, it was after May 6th, so, the Warner option had expired. I hadn’t heard anything about that from anyone. And Kimberly was supposed to be leaving Warner as well. And I had no idea what was going to be what.


Things needed to be written. Things needed to happen…
