A hot-shot reporter for the big city paper gets killed by the mob because of a story she's working on. Her ghost comes back to haunt her friend, forcing him to solve the murder, finish the story and explore their true feelings toward each other.
Say you're a hot-shot reporter for the big city paper. Then you get killed by the mob because of a story you're working on. So what do you do then? Lynne Anne Meyerson, an aggressive, dynamic, investigative reporter for a big city tabloid, is killed on a story. Her ghost is permitted to come back to finish the story and find her murderers. She enlists the aid of an old college chum, Lester Williams, who is a clerk unhappy with his job and his impending wedding. In the midst of sorting out their unspoken feelings for one another, they discover the illegal dumping of toxic waste by mob-controlled waste disposal companies. They expose the scheme, Lester breaks off his engagement and gets a chance to be a reporter.
