Bump in the Night
A hot-shot reporter and his side kick photographer head out to the site of a horror mass murder for an anniversary story and stumble upon a group filming a horror movie about the murders. Meanwhile, the murderer has escaped and is headed back---
Dwayne Roberts, the infamous Babysitter Ax Murderer, has escaped from the asylum. Naturally the local papers are going to cover this fast-breaking story. That's why they sent out their ace reporter and top-notch photographer, Steve and Keith. Leaping into action, they promptly get lost in the woods. So while Roberts is adding to his body count, our hapless duo stumble upon a low budget movie company, which happens to be making an exploitation film, based on Roberts earlier rampage.
The newshounds cool their heels with some of the more attractive members of the movie crew as the Roberts makes his way to the very same location. Things don't get any easier when the crashing meteor turns out to be the scout ship for an alien invasion. As it turns out not everyone on the film crew was killed by Roberts. Some were merely abducted by aliens and are held captive on the space ship. Eventually, Keith and Steve are taken to the ship. Once there, they discover the aliens are susceptible to flash photography, which can kill them. Armed with this knowledge, they are able to rescue their friends, repel the invasion and manage to push Roberts into the space ship before it lifts off. Now Roberts is stalking the dark hallways of the ship, looking for his next victim...
And that's the skinny on my comedy/horror film, "Bump in the Night", which has a lot of fun at the expense of all those low budget slasher and sci-fi pictures of the 80s..
