Jim Therry. We referred to him as Fan Zero. He contacted the production office after the show started airing. He seemed normal, so the office put us in touch with him, if we wanted to speak with him.
He loved the show and wanted to speak with and interview as many of the staff as he could. He was putting together a fanzine for the show (fanzines were the blogs of the analogue era). I spoke with him and offered to write something for him. I pulled in John Rawlins and we agreed to do an article for the fanzine. Afterward, he sent me a copy of the 1st issue of "New Frontier." I do not know if there was ever a second issue.

He was an artist and part of the publication was an original comic adventure of the rangers, fan fiction, as it were. Word was he attended a comic convention in Baltimore in a homemade Galaxy Ranger uniform and was disappointed that more people didn't recognize it. I heard through the grapevine that he had passed away just a few years later.
I had forgotten he had reviewed ever episode and some of them are brutal upon re-reading. And even after dealing with him he came down hard on Space Moby. And the Mothmoose credit is wrong, that's John Rawlins, although I'm sure he wouldn't mind not getting credit for that one. I'm surprised he's missing as many writers names as he did. I thought I'd get to finally find out who wrote "Shaky."
We never again corresponded after the article was sent, except for a thank you note when he sent me a copy of the of the premiere issue. Well, at least he enjoyed "The Ax."
